My work is a recording of my view of the world - my feelings, my sense of being part of this physical life, alive and enmeshed in an evolving world. Becoming, eroding, decaying and finally disappearing… The simple act of creating helps me to make some sense of it all. My practice is focused on the vessel as an existential inner expression, combining the sensitivities of the hand, brain and inner desire to bring ideas into form. The most challenging aspect of my work is to be constantly mindful of the pursuit toward simplicity, paring away that which is not necessary, yet still giving voice and resonance to the object.
