References to ‘signs and wonders’ occur numerous times in the bible and indicate miraculous occurrences that attest to the existence/power of something that is bigger than us. Omens are phenomena believed to foretell the future, to signify the advent of change—usually serving as warnings. The title for this exhibition seems, in hindsight, quite prescient and the artworks on show offer a way of recognising/responding to—or even translating—natural and unnatural phenomena
