Margie Sheppard’s abstract paintings evoke a sense of the wide, open and spacious. The paintings and prints comprise of spherical and other elemental geometric forms that are intersected by linear elements, which in turn form new shapes. One shape launches another and sometimes these are overlayed with other transparent shapes.
“Immersion in colour and shape on this large scale is the doorway to infinite possibilities, allowing my imagination to roam and my spirit to free.”

Nick Dridan’s paintings in this exhibition are directly inspired by his surrounding environment on a farm in Central Victoria. His interest in these specific works is the shapes, forms and inhabitants of the landscape and the depth of different views and vistas. Narrative can be felt through some of these works.

This photographic series depicts landscapes shrouded in fog. Mainly from the Peramangk land of the Adelaide Hills, Alex Frayne takes us into the dream-like worlds created by this familiar winter weather as it pervades the scrub, trees and winter-scapes of that region. Fog is a metaphor for the deep wellsprings of our psyche, our fears, and our links to the dense flora that sits on ancient land just up the road from the city.
